New Richmond Utilities encourages customers to seek payment assistance as moratorium ends

Wisconsin’s moratorium expires April 15, but help is available to avoid disconnection.

The New Richmond Utility Commission and the New Richmond Common Council have approved a four percent (4%) Sewer Utility rate increase in order to adequately recover the costs associated with providing wastewater services, meet current and future regulatory and capital requirements, and minimize future debt issuance.

The average residential household (water usage of 3,000 gallons per month) will see an increase of $1.18 per month. A residential household with water usage of 4,000 gallons per month will see an increase of $1.45 per month. The sewer rate increase will take effect on May 23, 2023 and will be reflected on the July 8, 2023 billing statement.
